How to Make Good Choices is a short, easy-to-read booklet containing 21 Guidelines for leading a happy, successful life.
How is the booklet used?
Usually the book is read with a child (or children) by an adult. This could be a parent, a teacher or a youth leader. The adult makes sure the child understands the booklet and how it relates to their life. The booklet has a guide with suggestions as to how to use it most effectively.
How was the booklet created?
How to Make Good Choices is an adaptation of The Way to Happiness, a book for adults written by author and educator, L Ron Hubbard. How to Make Good Choices is based on this book but simplified so it can be easily read and understood by children.
Is How to Make Good Choices Religious?
No, it’s not. The booklet is based on common sense. The only Religious advice is to “Respect the Religious Beliefs of Others” (Chapter 18).
What age group is the Good Choices booklet designed for?
The booklet can be easily read and understood by children as young as 5, but it has also been used effectively with teenagers as well. So it can be used with kids anywhere from 5 to 18.
